The Moderno series is a modern design but, at the same time, a classic design. Moderno was designed between the years 1956 and 1958. The first Moderno chair , L44, was designed for a Helsinki shoe store. Based on this chair, Yrjo Kukkapuro designed many other Moderno models which could be used for various kinds of spaces such as lobbies, lounges, reception waiting areas, as well in some cases dining chairs for restaurants.
